Who Are We?
The Michigan Guardianship Association is the premier initiator for the advancement of legislative reform, guardianship licensure, education, and the promotion of best practices for the protection of vulnerable individuals in the state of Michigan. Governed by a Board of Directors committed to advancing its mission, MGA is actively seeking new dedicated individuals to join the board. This diverse group fosters an exceptional exchange of information and ideas, empowering organizations and individuals to deliver the highest quality guardianship and other protective services.
What Does It Mean To Be An MGA Board of Director?
Serving on the MGA Board of Directors includes participating in monthly virtual board meetings, including two in-person meetings held during the annual spring and fall conferences. You will participate in board discussions focused on strengthening the association and advancing its goals. There are also multiple committees that board members are part of. They are the By-Law Committee, Education Committee, Legislative Committee, Website Committee, Nomination Committee, and our up-and-coming Membership Engagement Committee. Board members will have the ability to choose which committee they would like to serve on that aligns with their areas of expertise.
